October 5th 2024. The U10 Boys great run of form continues.

The u10's defeated Kings Norton this morning in a league game and were very good value for their 2-0 victory. This is a very competitive group and the lads at this age show such great enthusiasm that each game is usually extremely close but Wolverhampton grasped the initiative early on against the side who had beaten us in the McGregor Cup semi final when Corban gave us the lead after just 8 minutes. Not quite as spectacular as some of his efforts this season but it just goes to show how sheer persistance can often create an unexpected opportunity. Corban once again displaying his willingness to put defenders under pressure and on this occasion the hastily attempted clearance rebounded off his body enabling him to turn the ball in from close range. Ten minutes later a great ball from Ollie Harris, out of the right wing, went right across the box enabling Fabien who was expertly positioned at the far post, to power the ball past the Keeper to vitually seal the points. Both teams continued to press after the break, but whilst Jakson and his Kings Norton counterpart were both required to make some good saves in the second half, there were no more goals and the Wolverhampton lads comfortably saw out the game.
