Wolves got off to a bright start in this friendly fixture against North Shropshire and set the tone for the rest of the match by creating a host of chances. Just when it looked inevitable that we would break the deadlock, however, our opponents won the ball on the edge of our box and the confident finish gave our keeper no chance as the ball flashed past him into the top corner of the net.Undaunted by going a goal down, against the run of play, our lads continued to push forward and were eventually rewarded when a scuffle in the box resulted in the ball falling to Caden's feet for the equalizer. North Shropshire continued to find it very difficult to break through our excellent defensive structure and just before the break a flowing move which had started at the back with Ahyan and Ruben carried on all the way to Caden in the opposition box, and almost produced the goal of the season but the score at half time remained tied at 1-1.
Wolves continued their dominance in the second half, and once Theo had slotted home the second and extended the score to 3-1 after some tenacious work by Zach, who had been harrying their centre backs throughout, we looked to be coasting to a deserved victory. Indeed there were several opportunities for us to score even more but these misses eventually came back to haunt us when North Shropshire scored a couple of late goals to incredibly grab a share of the spoils. An unfair result certainly but this isn't the first time this season when we have allowed a game to slip from our grasp and this is a tough lesson for the lads to learn.
