The U11 Boys overcame East Birmingham with a clinical first half showing, full of excitement and enterprise. Rory Butler returned to the squad and announced his arrival with an impressive hat trick within the first 20 minutes, whilst Mason Dhillon continued his goal scoring form with a long range strike to make it three goals in three games. The half finished with a well taken goal from Kingston Hines Boddie, who confidently rounded the keeper to show that he is also an adept finisher, and despite scoring one goal themselves East Birmingham never threatened to get back into the game. With a 5-1 interval lead we were able to give our whole squad useful game time and it was an ideal opportunity to try out a number of new formations. The team could have been forgiven if this had affected our level of intensity but the lads worked hard to maintain a solid defensive display and with a few noticeable saves from Lucas in goal, we showed that we were really good value for our 5-1 win.
